Kenny’s Dad played with a big local showband in the late 50’s & 60’s, so from an early age, music was always around the house as he was growing up. Kenny started doing discos in the local youth clubs in the mid 70’s and then into the night clubs around the country.
After being bitten with the radio bug, influenced by offshore radio stations in the 60’s, Kenny joined hospital radio as many of us did when we started. Full time radio called in the 80’s, so away went his career as a B.T. Engineer and a move to radio in Ireland took place.
After working in various stations in Ireland & Spain, he returned home to work on a Belfast station in 1993. After an 11 year stint, Kenny then moved to work on the Causeway coast to host drive time and onto head of music, and more recently to present a Breakfast show, Monday to Friday and again take on the position as head of music for a new Belfast station in 2016.
Over the years, Kenny worked on BBC Three Counties Radio, Radio Six and various stations in Northern Ireland. Today, He moved his shows to on-line radio. Specifically XLR Radio where you can hear him present his “The Revival Show”.
