He’s back! After a couple of years away XLR Radio is pleased to announce that former presenter Wayne Russell has returned to the fold and will be presenting his Music Box Show every Sunday between 6 and 8pm from 23rd February. Wayne had already won a Best Actor accolade before his other commitments forced him to give up his original show, Since then he has been nominated for best supporting film actor 3 times and provided the voice of Pod the computer in the hugely successful audio drama series ‘Pod to Pluto’ which topped the Apple Download charts in 5 countries including UK, Australia, USA, Netherlands and, of all places, South Korea.
Wayne told us “I have loved being involved in film and audio drama but I have really missed being part of the team here at XLR so when Mal kindly offered me the chance to come back, I didn’t hesitate” Wayne says his new Music Box show is so named to give him the opportunity to try different ideas and to collaborate with others including his brother, Chris Russell who is a much loved and long established XLR presenter.
